Docs/Audiences

Audiences

Audiences are reusable groups of NPCs (e.g. guards, tavern_folk). Create them, manage their members in a side drawer, and share restricted documents with a whole group at once instead of one NPC at a time.

An audience is a named group of NPCs — like guards or tavern_folk. Share a restricted document with an audience and every member can read it, so you never have to assign NPCs one at a time.

Create an audience

  1. 1

On the Workload page, open the Audiences tab.

  2. 2

Type a name (for example, guards).

  3. 3

Click Create. The audience appears in the list.

Manage members

Membership is managed in a side drawer so even very large NPC lists stay easy to work with.

  1. 1

Click an audience (or its Members button). A drawer slides in from the right.

  2. 2

Use the search box to find NPCs by name.

  3. 3

Tick the NPCs you want to change.

  4. 4

Click Add selected to put them in the audience, or Remove selected to take them out.

Note
The drawer shows a running "selected" count and surfaces any errors inline, so you always know what will change before you commit.

Use an audience with a document

  1. 1

Open a document on the Documents tab and set its visibility to Restricted.

  2. 2

Tick the audience in the document panel.

  3. 3

Click Save & activate assignment — every member of that audience can now read the document.

Delete an audience

Click the trash icon on an audience row to delete it. The NPCs themselves are not deleted — they simply leave the group, and any document shared only with that audience stops reaching them.
